Alpakafaser zählt zu den wertvollsten und seltensten Naturfasern auf der Welt. Sie gibt unglaublich warm, ist jedoch zugleich atmungsaktiv und gibt ein Zuviel an Wärme wieder nach aussen ab. So entsteht bspw. kein Hitzestau. Hinzu kommt, dass diese Naturfaser unglaublich weich ist, am ehesten vergleichbar Kaschmir.

MILLWA's reversible mitons are a very special accessoire for 'frozen fingers': made from especially thick, pure alpaca (babyalpaca) fibre, doubleface knitted and therefore completely reversible - even the coldest hands will get warm with them. Due to their comfortable fitting and their incerdible softness they are very popular.

Unsere Alpaka-Pulswärmer DOPPELZOPF sind ganz besonders dick und warm. Sie wurden mit dickem Faden im rustikalen Zopfmuster gefertigt und haben einen kleinen Daumenansatz. Durch ihre Länge können diese Pulswärmer bis unter den Jackenärmel getragen werden ohne ständig zu verrutschen. Ein zeitloser Klassiker für kalte Wintertage.

Dieses besonders warme, handgearbeitete Modell MERIDA besticht durch seine einzigartige Funktionalität: Halblange angesetzte Finger wärmen die Hand und erlauben doch jegliche Arbeit mit den Fingern. Wie viele unserer Produkte wurden diese Handschuhe mit viel Liebe in Handarbeit bei unseren Strickerinnen zu Hause gefertigt. Selbstverständlich wurde hier nur reine Alpakawolle verwendet.
Alpakawolle funktioniert ähnlich wie eine Klimaanlage auf der Haut - sie speichert bei Kälte die Körperwärme und gibt sie bei Wärme wieder ab. Zudem besitzt Alpakawolle von Natur aus kein Lanolin, weshalb Produkte aus dieser Faser auch von Allergikern und bei Neurodermitis getragen werden können. Aufgrund der geringen Micronzahl ist sie deutlich feiner und weicher und hält doch bis zu 7x wärmer als herkömmliche Schafwolle.

Alpaca is a very special natural fibre with many uncomparable characteristics: is is epecially light, similar as smooth as cashmere and keeps up to 7times warmer than common sheep wool. Additionally it work like an "air condition" on your skin: the bodie's heat is maintained, but to much heat will be carried out. So it cannot accure a heat accumulation like with so many artificial fibres.

The GITTERNETZ gloves are a particularly decorative glove model with a grid pattern on the back of the hand. The fingers and the palm are knitted in a patent pattern so that these gloves adapt flexibly to all movements. This model is more suitable for women.
Like most of the entire MILLWA production, these alpaca gloves were also made at home by the knitters in the highlands of Peru. The women who do not have a skilled profession can make a significant contribution to the family income with this work from home.
The MILLWA company produces accessories that are largely made of pure baby alpaca fiber - this is also the case with this model: made in 100% baby alpaca - depending on the color, even in ECO quality (= undyed, unbleached). Baby alpaca fiber is particularly soft and comfortable to wear on the skin. It is incredibly warm without causing any heat build-up.

Glatt gestrickt aus dekorativer Bouclé-Wolle, nur die Abschlüsse im festeren Krausmuster. Durch die dehnbaren Eigenschaftend der Alpaka-Boucléwolle passen sich diese Pulswärmer fast jeder Handform und Handgröße an.
Auch dieses Modell der MILLWA-Kollektion wurde von den Handstrickerinnen im Hochland Perus in Heimarbeit gefertigt. Wie immer, beachten wir hierbei die Prinzipien des Fairen Handels.

Extremely soft, extremely light weight, extremely fluffy and unbelievable popular: our handknittes fingerless miton CRESPOS are an indispensable accessoire for the cold season: Flat knitted from decorative alpaca bouclé yarn, only the edges are knitted in a tighter rice corn pattern. Due to its flexible caracteristics of alpaca bouclé yarn, these fingerless miton do fit to nearly all handfroms and handsizes.
Also this modell from the MILLWA collection was handmade in homework by our knitters in the highlands of the Peruvian Andes. As usual, we wo consider here the Fair Trade Principles.

Die Handschuhe ROLLITOS & BOTONCITOS sind eines unserer dekorativsten und beliebtesten Modelle der Kollektion. Komplett glatt gestrickt, jedoch mit etwas längerem Puls in dem Röllchen eingearbeitet und dazu mit kleinen dekorativen Holzknöpfen versehen sind. Ein Blickfang für triste Herbst- und Wintertage!
Auch dieses Paar Handschuhe wurde von unseren Strickerinnen im Hochland Perus in Heimarbeit von Hand gestrickt und zeugt von der unglaublichen Handarbeitskunst der andinen Bevölkerung. Freie Zeiteinteilung und Bezahlung nach dem Fair Trade-Prinzip sind für uns hierbei die Grundprinzipien, um der andinen Bevölkerung zu helfen.
Gefertigt wurden diese Handschuhe aus reiner Babyalpakafaser. Alpaka, bzw. Babyalpaka zählt zu den seltensten und feinsten Fasern auf der Welt und ist bekannt für seine herausragenden Trageeigenschaften: sie gibt unglaublich warm ohne einen Hitzestau zu verursachen, ist unglaublich leicht und kann sogar - aufgrund des Fehlens des Lanolins in der Faser - von Wollallergikern getragen werden.

Our gloves ROLLITOS & BOTONCITOS are one of our most decorative and most famous modells of the collection. They are completely flat knitted, with longer hem, inserted rolls and decorated with small wooden buttons. A real eyecatcher for sad autumn and winter days!
Also this pair of gloves was hand- and homemade by our knitters in the highlands of the Peruvian Andes and proof the high development of the knitting craftmanship odf the andean people. Free time disposal and payment according to fair trade rules are the principles we consider in order to help the andean people.
The gloves ROLLITOS & BOTONCITOS are made from pure babyalpaca fibre. Alpaca, as well as babyalpaca fibre is one of the finest and rarest fibres in the world and it is famour because of its outstanding wearing caracteristics: it is unbelievable warm without producing a heat build-up, it is unbelievable light weight and can - because of the absence of lanoline in the fibre - also be worn by wool allergic people.

Alpaka-Faser ist dafür bekannt, eine der edelsten Fasern der Welt zu sein. Man sagt, sie hält bis zu 7-mal wärmer als Schafwolle, ist leicht wie Gänsedaunen und so weich wie Kaschmir. Probieren Sie es einfach selbst aus!

These alpaca fingerless miton ARROCITO are part of the set ARROCITO. They are simply and at the time decoratively knitted in rice corn pattern. The part of the fingers is open, the thumb is partly knitted. Eyecatcher are the hems in a contrasted colour.

Alpaca fibre is famous to be one of the most exclusive fibres in the world: it is said that it keeps up to 7 times warmer than common sheep wool, it is as light as goosedown and as soft as cashmere. Just try it on by yourself!

Ein klassischer, glatt gestrickter Handschuh RAYAS im Streifenmuster.
Sie wurden wie der Großteil unserer Modelle von unseren Strickerinnen im Hochland Perus handgestrickt. Selbstverständlich beachten wir wie immer auch hier die Prinzipien des Fair Trade, um der einheimischen Bevölkerung eine Existenzsicherung zu ermöglichen.
Alpakafaser zählt zu den wertvollsten und seltensten Naturfasern auf der Welt. Sie gibt unglaublich warm, ist jedoch zugleich atmungsaktiv und gibt ein Zuviel an Wärme wieder nach aussen ab. So entsteht bspw. kein Hitzestau. Hinzu kommt, dass diese Naturfaser unglaublich weich ist, am ehesten vergleichbar Kaschmir.

Alpaca fibre counts to be one of the rarest and most valuable fibres in the world. It keeps incredibly warm, but are also breathable and leave out a "TOO MUCH" of heat in order to prevent heat accumulation. Additionally this natural fibre is incredibly soft, mostly comparable to cashmere.
