Alpaka ist eine herausragende Naturfaser mit sehr vielen unvergleichlichen Eigenschaften: sie ist besonders leicht, ähnlich weich wie Kaschmir und hält bis zu 7x wärmer als herkömmliche Schafwolle. Zumal funktioniert sie fast wie eine "Klimaanlage" auf der Haut: Körperwärme wird gespeichert, ein Zuviel an Wärme wird jedoch nach außen abgegeben, weshalb kein Hitzestau entsteht wie bspw. bei vielen Kunstfasern.

Alpaca is a very special natural fibre with many uncomparable characteristics: is is epecially light, similar as smooth as cashmere and keeps up to 7times warmer than common sheep wool. Additionally it work like an "air condition" on your skin: the bodie's heat is maintained, but to much heat will be carried out. So it cannot accure a heat accumulation like with so many artificial fibres.

Sie wurden wie der Großteil unserer Modelle von unseren Strickerinnen im Hochland Perus handgestrickt. Selbstverständlich beachten wir wie immer auch hier die Prinzipien des Fair Trade, um der einheimischen Bevölkerung eine Existenzsicherung zu ermöglichen.

Ein wahrer Verwandlungskünstler unter den Handschuhen: Die Handschuhe CHICLE heißen übersetzt "Kaugummi" - rundum in Patentmuster handgestrickt, sehen Sie zwar schmal aus, sind aber bis aufs Maximum dehnfähig und passen daher auf schmale Hände genau so gut wir auf große, breite Hände. Das schlichte Muster erlaubt ein Kombinieren zu nahezu allen Outfits!

A true quick-change artist amoung the gloves: our gloves CHICLE mean translated "chewing gum" - handknitted allover in patent pattern they seem to be quite slim, but they are stretchy to a maximum. This is why they are suitable for small thin hands as well as for big wide hands. The simple pattern allows to combine it with nearly all kind of outfits!
As well as nearly all gloves from the MILLWA collection also the gloves CHICLE are handknitted in homework by our women knitters in the highlands of the peruvian Andes.

Like most of the entire MILLWA production, these alpaca gloves were also made at home by the knitters in the highlands of Peru. The women who do not have a skilled profession can make a significant contribution to the family income with this work from home.

Auch dieses Paar Handschuhe wurde von unseren Strickerinnen im Hochland Perus in Heimarbeit von Hand gestrickt und zeugt von der unglaublichen Handarbeitskunst der andinen Bevölkerung. Freie Zeiteinteilung und Bezahlung nach dem Fair Trade-Prinzip sind für uns hierbei die Grundprinzipien, um der andinen Bevölkerung zu helfen.

Kapuzen-Handschuhe/hoody gloves MERIDA, Farbe/colour: weiß/white eco
Dieses besonders warme, handgearbeitete Modell MERIDA besticht durch seine einzigartige Funktionalität: Halblange angesetzte Finger wärmen die Hand und erlauben doch jegliche Arbeit mit den Fingern. Wie viele unserer Produkte wurden diese Handschuhe mit viel Liebe in Handarbeit bei unseren Strickerinnen zu Hause gefertigt. Selbstverständlich wurde hier nur reine Alpakawolle verwendet.
Alpakawolle funktioniert ähnlich wie eine Klimaanlage auf der Haut - sie speichert bei Kälte die Körperwärme und gibt sie bei Wärme wieder ab. Zudem besitzt Alpakawolle von Natur aus kein Lanolin, weshalb Produkte aus dieser Faser auch von Allergikern und bei Neurodermitis getragen werden können. Aufgrund der geringen Micronzahl ist sie deutlich feiner und weicher und hält doch bis zu 7x wärmer als herkömmliche Schafwolle.

MILLWA's Wendefäustlinge sind ein ganz besonderes Accessoire für 'Frierkatzen': gefertigt aus extra dicker, reiner Alpaka (Babyalpaka)-Faser, doppelseitig gestrickt und dadurch komplett wendbar, behält hiermit keiner mehr kalte Finger. MILLWA's reversible mitons are a very special accessoire for 'frozen fingers': made from especially thick, pure alpaca (babyalpaca) fibre, doubleface knitted and therefore completely reversible - even the coldest hands will get warm with them. Due to their comfortable fitting and their incerdible softness they are very popular.
Also the reversible mitons of the MILLWA collection are handknitted in homework by the knitters in the highlands of the Peruvian Andes. Because of this work in their homes, the women can contribute to the family income.

Unsere Alpaka-Mütze ECO ist ein Klassiker, der Ihnen sicher lange Freude bereiten wird: handgestrickt im breiten Zopfmuster und dezentem Rollrand am Anschluss, ist sie das perfekte Accessoire für die kalte Jahreszeit.
Die Mütze ECO wurde wie so viele Modelle der MILLWA-Produktion von den Strickerinnen im Hochland Perus in Heimarbeit von Hand gestrickt.
Alpaka funktioniert fähnlich einer Klimaanlage auf der Haut: sie speichert Körperwärme bei Kälte und gibt sie bei Wärme wieder nach außen ab. Ein Überhitzen und der für Kunstfasern typische Hitzestau (z.B. beim Wechsel von draußen nach drinnen) wird dadurch vermieden. Zudem besitzt Alpaka von Natur aus kein Lanolin, weshalb es auch von Woll-Allergikern und bei Neurodermitis getragen werden kann. Sie ist angenehm weich und hält bis zu 7x wärmer als normale Schafwolle.
