This alpaca hat OSLO from the MILLWA collection, as well as many more, was handknitted in the highlands of the Peruvian Andes. The women knitting live mainly in the rural parts of Peru and contribute a lot with this knitting to the family income.
Alpca fibre counts to be one of the finest and rarest fibres in the world, similar as cashmere. It keeps incredibly warm, is very soft and light. Additionally alpaca fibre can be worn also by wool allergic people because by nature it does not contain lanoline.
